Our charity project is aimed to help those who are in need.
It is always hard to see those people who are suffering, just because they weren't lucky enough to be born in a successful family. Anyone who claims himself to be a human being has to have, at least for a second, a sincere impulse to try to help the distressed or those who live in poverty. Moreover, helping these people brings real appeasement to your heart and to your soul.
So our group decided to start a charity program, which involves dedicating $1 from every purchase made from any of the Big Apple Style furniture stores, to the children living in poverty. The money will be given to their parents, which unfortunately, to some circumstances cannot afford or provide the simplest sources of joy, like candies, toys, chocolate bars and etc.
How does it work?
1) When we collect 50$ (in other words, after 50 purchases) we send these money to our friend in Uzbekistan
2) 30$ will be spent on candies, toys and other necessary things. 20$ are given to their parents to slightly help them and cover the expenditures of the family.
3) The person who gives this money will make a photo report and write a little bit about his/her family and why he chose exactly this particular one.
4) The report will be posted here (Look more below...)
FAQ:
1) Why Uzbekistan?
Uzbekistan is my country of origin, I grew up there, I have a lot of good friends there, which know a lot of families living in poverty, as Uzbekistan is still only one of the developing countries.
2) How do you choose a family?
We choose a family with children from 5 to 14 years, which are in need due to disability of one or both of the parents or those families without one of the parents or simply families, which cannot afford basic needs like food and clothing for their children.
3) Why are you doing this?
Because helping other people is a real pleasure to us.
4) Why did you post all of this on the web-site instead of just doing the charity without showing off?
We think that posting this information would persuade other people or other business to start similar projects. May be some people are just not aware of vastness of the problem of the poor and this would induce them to help the poor, not necessarily through our project, as there are thousands of different charities.
